People from the Indian Ocean
Vivid Sydney Festival
A concentrate of 6 minutes of rare images, shot over 15 years along the Silk Road and in the Indian Ocean, on giant screens in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, for the Vivid Sydney Festival. It's a powerful elixir, concentrating the intensity of the gazes and gestures of these diverse peoples, all human, to be respected in their identity and singularity. The shared challenge is considerable: to bring art to the giant advertising screens of the public space, to create a high-voltage flash between highly personal artistic content and the attention of the general public, in the middle of a bustling urban area.
